Kayla started My Little Thrifter back in 2023 as a way to justify a dangerous op-shopping addiction—but the roots of this business run even deeper.

As a household of two parents juggling studies and family life, retail therapy wasn’t in the budget, but the thrill of thrifting became the perfect solution for getting our little boy wearing the coolest fits. Kayla would come home with bags full of kids clothing, quickly taking over our boys room and flowing out into the rest of the house. Pressure to get back some space from hordes of clothing My Little Thrifter was Born! Turning a love for second-hand gems into a sustainable side hustle.

Since then, My Little Thrifter has remained a family-run business on a mission to rescue perfectly good clothing from ending up in landfills and instead putting them back on the backs of Little Thrifters across NZ and beyond. Every piece is hand-selected, and is either sourced locally by diving into the bins and treasure-hunting in op shops internationally, ensuring a steady flow of one-of-a-kind finds for you to love.
